The Exhibition is located within the same venues as the catwalk shows and gives over 200 UK and International brands the opportunity to represent themselves and reveal their brand identity and products. This allows buyers and press to get further insight and inspiration for Spring/Summer 2010 fashion, trends, colors and design. The Exhibitors range from clothing to bags to accessories to footwear and more, and this year there was a real focus on hats as the event Headonism, created by British milliner Stephen Jones, was initiated in order to showcase a number of up and coming London milliners.
Exhibitors ranged from the well known to the unknown and included brands such as Dirty Pretty Things lingerie, Beyond Skin footwear and Tatty Devine jewelry and accessories. All the brands showcasing were full of creativity and innovative ideas and design, but the top three most intriguing brands that stood out for me included Future Classics, Lascivious and Goodone, and all for their own different reasons.
Future Classics is a ready to wear clothing brand founded in 2000 by London based designer Julie Wilkins. Her Spring/Summer 2010 collection features traditional vintage items, which have been deconstructed or modified, in order to become revitalized and modernized without losing their classic timelessness. |
